My love for hair began in early high school, where I styled hair for school plays and my did friends’ hair for prom. I enrolled in beauty school a month after graduation, and have been in love with coloring and styling hair ever since. I am obsessed with always taking my craft to the next level, which is why I have taken many high-end courses and worked directly under top educators.

Since moving to New York, my passion has evolved into lived-in and dimensional blondes. I also love big transformations. My attention to detail helps me shape modern haircuts that fit your personality. When you’re in my chair, it’s all about you, and creating a style that makes you feel confident.

In my free time, I love traveling and tasting new foods.

I ’ve always known I wanted to be in a creative field, but after a haircut I got when I was in high school, I realized exactly what I what I wanted to do. After that cut I felt so cool and knew I wanted to give that same feeling to other people. Soon, I was enrolled at Arrojo cosmetology school and then began my career at the Arrojo salon before joining the Bird House team.

I love creating textured lived-in shaped with flowing seamless layers, strong curly shapes, and edgy shorter styles. And I love doing bright color pops and rich natural reds! My favorite thing to do with clients is creating new looks they thought they could never pull off. Whether it be a small transformation like adding some layers, or a big one like a total color change, seeing my clients’ happiness and confidence after a service is why I’m here! G rowing up with thick, curly hair, all I ever knew was how to tame it and wasn’t taught to embrace it. My mom would let me get it blown out and straightened professionally once a year and let me tell you it was truly the most incredible feeling! A feeling that eventually inspired me to learn how to style hair so I could help others feel as amazing as that little girl. After getting my BA in Theater, I furthered my education by attending Arrojo Cosmetology. Soon after, I was offered the opportunity to be Brooke’s apprentice for a year and am now behind the chair full time.

I love doing crisp bobs, bright blondes, and fiery red heads, among so much else. My ultimate goal as a hairdresser is to make my clients, regardless of hair textures or type, feel as radiant as that tiny kid who got to feel like a queen for a day.

Growing up, I often experimented with my hair but it wasn’t until I went to a real salon that I was shown my hair’s full potential. My stylist taught me how to style my curls when I didn’t even know I had them! I loved the feeling I left with, and knew then that I wanted to pass that feeling on to others. I take a lot of pride in educating my clients on ways to see the potential in their own hair, to reach their goals, and to match their lifestyle.

I specialize in all curl types and textures and I love setting my clients up with an at-home regimen geared toward their everyday habits and showing them ways to get salon results at home.

F rom Long Island, I always knew I wanted to live in NYC and have a career where I could express my creativity. After graduating from Hunter College with a degree in anthropology, I didn’t experience the fulfillment I’d hoped for from my post-graduate jobs. As fascinating as anthropology is, my career path lacked creative expression so I decided to attend Arrojo Cosmetology School. After being in school for just a short time, I knew I’d made the right choice. Hair dressing is, it turns out, a perfect mixture of anthropology and art.

As a hairdresser, I get to play with color and shape, but I also get to be a student of humanity. I specialize in cuts and color that are easy to work with at home and that give my clients that effortless look. I have training in both scissor and razor techniques and enjoy combining the two for most cuts. When not in the salon you can find me cuddling in bed with my cat, Lucy, or wandering around Prospect Park on a nice day.

I have always been a passionate, detail oriented, and artistic individual with a love for beauty and expression. I grew up in theatre, and found a deep love for hair and makeup through my backstage experiences. After getting a BFA in Musical Theatre, I studied at the Aveda Institute NY, and my hair experience also includes film/tv, theatre, celebrities, and fashion.

My favorite services are transformational haircuts, natural blonding, and updo/event styling, but every client experience is a treat, and I love tackling your hair goals collaboratively. I carefully consider your face shape, lifestyle, and personal aesthetic when I work, and my goal is to help you express your most confident, truest self.

A fter moving to New York from California to pursue my passion for hair and fashion, I attended Aveda Institute in Manhattan. I have always been artistic and love working with my hands, so hairdressing is a perfect fit. I love helping people feel their best and I truly care for my clients’ well-being. Given that I’m a Californian at heart, it’s no surprise that I love creating blondes and creative colors.

I love the ocean, I listen to a lot of different genres of music, and occasionally pick up the guitar. I’m looking forward to continuing to broaden my skills at The Bird House and I can’t wait to see you in my chair!

A s a kid, my candy store was the salon—my passion for all things beauty has always been innate. Before I graduated the Aveda Institute NYC, I got a bachelor’s in psychology, because I wanted to learn the science of people before I embarked in my career in hair. The connection between you and your stylist is the foundation for creating beautiful hair. It’s not quite therapy, it’s Hairapy. When you’re in my chair, I am dedicated to listening and turning your vision into a reality, providing you with well-deserved pampering, and also teaching how to care for your hair.

I specialize in seamless balayage and blonding, meticulous color corrections and cool-toned brunettes. In my free time, you can find me luxuriating in the bath, hair mask in, face mask on, Celine Dion playing in the background. Let’s do your hair.

I always knew that whatever career I’d choose, I wanted to make people feel good about themselves. There is no greater feeling than watching my clients’ energy shift as they begin to feel a sense of confidence they didn’t have just moments ago.

I was educated by top stylists in the industry, have worked for several high-end salons, and have owned my own bridal styling business for the better part of the last decade. Throughout my career, I’ve honed my approach— to help you look like the best version of yourself.

In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my family, particularly my nieces and nephew, trying new restaurants, and exploring new cities. And I will always stop someone to ask if I can pet their dog!

H aving been in this industry for 8 years, I’ve learned that what I love the most about what I do is meeting new people, having great conversations with my clients and getting to be a part of their lives. My specialty is bright blondes but really I just love offering my clients the natural everyday enhancements to make them feel beautiful with what they already have.

I always try my best to be open, honest and genuine, and I feel so lucky that my career allows me to be a positive influence on people’s days and helps them feel great about themselves!

G rowing up in a small Southern town, going to the hair salon was intertwined with being a part of our community. We’d all leave the salon feeling beautiful and ever since I was young I wanted to be a part of that experience. I attended Arrojo here in NYC and began my career at The Bird House.

I have had the opportunity to learn from the best of the best here, and I’m honored to now put everything I’ve learned to practice. My specialties include blonding, reds, and curly cuts. Whenever I’m not in the salon, I love hanging out with my pups, Dixie and Amos, and trying new restaurants with my husband.

I always knew I wanted to move to New York City, having grown up nearby in New Jersey. After receiving my BFA in Musical Theatre and spending years traveling and performing as an actor, I realized the passion I had for hair and makeup and decided to turn that into a career by studying cosmetology at the Aveda Institute. Even before graduating I was offered the opportunity to begin my apprenticeship with the incredibly talented Katie Casola here at The Bird House, and I am thrilled to now be able to work along side her.

I specialize in dimensional blonding, natural red heads and bobs, and I absolutly love connecting with my clients and using my skills and passion to make you feel like your best self!

E xperimenting with fun colors on my hair has always been a common theme in my life. By the time I graduated high school though, my hair was extremely damaged and it really affected my self confidence—lesson learned! I’ll always prioritize my own hair’s health and yours. I’ve always had a deep understanding of the effect our hair has on us emotionally, and giving my clients that euphoric feeling after their appointment is what drives me to keep doing what I do!

After completing my training at Arrojo Cosmetology School, I began my apprenticeship at The Bird House, where I’ve gathered an arsenal of different techniques and skills from my team of talented stylists. From the slightest of changes to major transformations, I want to help my clients achieve their hair goals and feel like the best version of themselves when they leave my chair.
