hen we’re planning your wedding look with you, our thoughts aren’t only on that singular day. We care deeply about making sure your wedding hair and makeup look exactly as you want it to (and even better) for such an important occasion.
But when we think of your wedding beauty, we imagine you as your elder self, paging through an aged photo album with your partner. Your hair is more gray, your bones more brittle, but your love is stronger than ever.
And, when we think about your wedding look, we also think about future generations. We think about your friends, your nieces and nephews, your children and grandchildren, and their grandchildren. We imagine the smiles on their faces when they see how your beauty reflected this moment in time. YOUR VERY OWN WEDDING SUITE
Our Bird House Annex is now available to rent exclusively for you and your wedding party. Located directly across the hall from our Gowanus salon, the suite features soft and bright natural light, a beautiful and comfortable atmosphere, a dedicated changing area with a 3-panel mirror, and a private bathroom. Our wedding team will pamper you and your guests in this private sanctuary. Bring in your photographer, play your own music on our Sonos system, eat, drink, and soak in this special time getting ready for your wedding.
WEDDING HAIR AND MAKEUP SERVICE CUSTOMIZATION
Do you want to have only your hair or only your makeup done? Do you have 2 attendants or 8? Your party size and service preferences are yours, and who are we to stand in your way? With The Bird House Weddings, you simply tell us what you need us to provide, and we’ll do our absolute best to oblige.

WEDDINGS FAQ
Is a shampoo included in my up-do?
No, unless you are booked specifically for a down-do (blowout). For an updo, we need your hair to be clean and dry, without styling products, when you arrive.
How should I dress for my appointment?
Come in clothing that you can easily remove without touching your face or hair. We highly recommend button-down shirts for you and all your attendants.
What should I bring to my hair and/or makeup trial?
Bring any hair accessories (veils, clips, etc.) that you would like to use for your wedding look.
I have skin sensitivities/allergies, are your products scent free?
If you have sensitive skin or allergies, please let us know ahead of time, and we recommend you bring your own mascara, eyeliner, and lipstick.
What is your recommendation for how far out from the wedding day to book a trial?
We recommend a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the wedding date.
Can I do a makeup trial the same day as my hair trial?
Absolutely!
Is gratuity included in the price list?
Our wedding prices are for services only. Gratuities are deeply appreciated and can be paid either via cash or Venmo.
When sharing photos from the wedding on social media should I tag the artist and/or the salon?
Yes please! We’d love if you tagged both the salon and your glam artists.
